23 March 2017 NEW YORK CITY – The Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Center in New York launched "Proudly Pinay: An Exhibit of Works by Filipina Artists" at the lobby of the Philippine Center on March 20 held in honor of Filipina artists around the world and in commemoration of International Women's Month.
The exhibit features the paintings and artworks of Filipina artists from the exclusive collection of the Philippine Center in New York. Among the pieces on display are the Basket Weaver (1974) by Norma Belleza, Purificacion y Saturnina (2015) by Greta Lood, Abstract (1981) by Pacita Abad, and Exodus of Filipinos (2006) by Zny Laygo.
The exhibit is open to the public and runs until March 31. END
