08 November 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom Enrique A. Manalo delivered on November 06 the keynote address at the “Trading with and Exporting to South East Asia” conference organized by Clydesdale Bank, the ASEAN-UK Business Forum(AUBF), and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). 

The Ambassador cited the booming economies within the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN), particularly the Philippines’ remarkable performance, and the tremendous opportunities for British and global businesses as the region moves closer to economic integration. 

“The stage is set for the establishment of a seamless movement of goods, services, investments, labour and capital flow within ASEAN,” said Ambassador Manalo. “This integration will only sustain the phenomenal growth and success of the individual ASEAN nations, such as the Philippines, and those who do business with them.” END
