29 March 2017 PARIS – The Philippine Embassy in Paris conducted an orientation seminar for Filipino students enrolled in various French universities such as Sciences Po, Université Catholique de Lille, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3, and Queen Mary University of London on March 24.

Philippine Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro welcomed the students and briefed the students on the bilateral relations between the Philippines and France, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The Ambassador also invited the students to follow the Embassy’s Facebook page and Twitter account and encouraged them to do their part in promoting the good image of the Philippines in France.

Over 60 cooperation agreements exist between Philippine and French academic institutions. A Memorandum of Understanding on Higher Education and Research signed in 2014 has contributed to increased exchanges between the two countries. France welcomes over 200 Filipino students every year. END
