PHL Consulate General in Guangzhou Donates Books on Filipino Folklore to Guangzhou High School

31 March 2017 – As part of its efforts to promote Philippine culture and tradition, the Consulate General of the Philippines in Guangzhou turned over ten copies of a book on Philippine folklore to the Guangzhou Siyuan School at the Consulate’s Social Hall.

Ms. Wen Dongjiao, a first year senior high school student received the books on behalf of the school. She was accompanied by school officials during the turn-over.

The book titled “Feilubin Shenhua Gushixuan” (Alamat: A Selection of Philippine Folk Tales) was compiled by the Philippine Embassy in Beijing.

The books will be included in a reading hall of the school dedicated to texts from around the world. The reading hall is an initiative of the school’s students. END
