08 November 2013 - Lakeside Paradise Sleep-Inn, a world youth hostel/clubhouse located in Duinenwater, Knokke-Heist, Belgium named one of its rooms as the “Philippines.”
The 30-square meter room, which can accommodate four persons, was named after our country after owner-couple Frank and Natalie Vanleenhove saw for themselves the beauty of the Philippines, especially its “water destinations,” which can be recommended to their visitors who will be looking for possible holiday destinations. Displayed on the walls of the room is a huge picture of El-Nido, Palawan.
The Philippine Embassy will in Brussels will be contributing some “final Filipino touches” to the room for visitors to have an actual feel of the country. Lakeside Paradise officially opened in June and will be closed for the month of November for more painting and finishing works.
Lakeside Paradise has been the venue of several conferences and meetings of big and small Belgian companies, as well as of schools and universities.
The Lakeside Paradise Sleep-Inn is only one among the many facilities being offered by Lakeside Paradise, an 11-hectare property along the shore of a beautiful man-made lake in Duinenwater. Lakeside Paradise has the first cable park for wakeboarding and waterskiing in Flanders. The youth hostel/clubhouse has a private Thai massage room, a large sun terrace, three multipurpose rooms (for meetings, audio visual presentation, etc.), a sun deck, a Jacuzzi Hotspring, a skateboarding halfpipe, a beach volleyball field and a restaurant which could feature menus from the countries to which their rooms are named after.
