Senator Enverga Visits Phl Consulate General in Toronto

31 March 2017 TORONTO — Senator Tobias C. Enverga, Jr., visited the Consulate to meet with Consul General Rosalita S. Prospero. A member of the Conservative Party of Canada, Senator Enverga, who hails from Quezon Province in the Philippines, is the lone Filipino national in the Canadian Senate.
The Consul General took the opportunity to assure Senator Enverga that the Consulate General will continue to extend close cooperation with his office especially on matters pertaining to the promotion of interest of Filipinos in Canada. She also highlighted the improvements in the Consulate General’s delivery of service. As an example, finger printing for NBI clearance application is now released on the same day. The new computerized numbering system has also improved the process flow of documents.
Senators in the Canadian Senate are appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister. They serve in the Canadian Parliament until the age of 75. END
