PH Co-Chairs Second Meeting of Sub-Group 2 of the Working Group on Governance in UNESCO

04 April 2017 – The Philippines and Hungary co-chaired the second meeting of Sub-Group 2 of the Working Group on Governance at UNESCO headquarters on March 31, 2017.

The meeting was attended by over a hundred Member States and discussed how to optimize and harmonize the procedures and working methods of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation, the Intergovernmental Council of the International Programme for the Development of Communication, the Intergovernmental Council of the Information for All Programme, as well as the six UNESCO Cultural Conventions.

The Working Group will hold its next meeting on May 09, 2017 to discuss International Funds, International Programmes and International Expert Bodies, and UNESCO Category 1 Institutes. END
