Chancellor of James Cook University Visits PHL Embassy in Singapore

06 April 2017 SINGAPORE — The Chancellor of James Cook University, Mr. Bill Tweddell, visited the Philippine Embassy in Singapore on 31 March 31.
Mr. Tweddell, former Ambassador of Australia to the Philippines, was warmly received by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales. He mentioned how he enjoyed his stint in the Philippines as he underscored the strong bilateral ties between the Philippines and Singapore and said that the Philippines is a priority area of JCU.
Currently, there are 11 Filipino students at the university’s Singapore campus and 27 in its base in Australia. Ambassador Morales thanked Mr. Tweddell for his commitment to promote Philippine-Australian relations during his time as Ambassador and currently as chancellor of JCU. Ambassador Morales joined the JCU graduation ceremony at the Singapore Marina Bay Sands on April 01. END
