PH Embassy in Moscow Co-Hosts Defense Attaché Reception

10 April 2017 MOSCOW — The Philippine Embassy in Moscow co-hosted a lunch reception for the Moscow Association of Military Attachés (MAMA) at the Metropol Hotel on March 31.

MAMA is the biggest military-diplomatic association in Moscow composed of defense officers, i.e. army, air, and naval, from nearly 100 diplomatic missions. All ASEAN Member States except the Philippines, Brunei, and Singapore have Defense Attachés based in Moscow.

The three countries are represented in MAMA by their respective Political Officers. MAMA serves as a liaising channel between the military-diplomatic corps and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It also promotes information exchange and camaraderie among its members. END
