06 April 2017 KUALA LUMPUR - The Philippine Government has signified its intent to scale up economic partnership with Malaysia with the opening of an economic promotions office in Kuala Lumpur.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center - Kuala Lumpur headed by Commercial Attaché Katrina Banzon, is located at 19-9-3A, Office Suite, UOA Centre, Jalan Pinang 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The office will assist Malaysian companies and businessmen explore and pursue economic opportunities in the Philippines, as well as Philippine companies and businessmen wishing to do business in Malaysia.

Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia J. Eduardo Malaya hailed the decision of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry to open the economic promotions office.

“There are enormous potentials in bilateral trade and investments that can and should be tapped, especially with the high economic growth experienced by the Philippines. Working closely with Matrade, Malaysia’s business chambers and other stakeholders, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center - Kuala Lumpur can contribute significantly to the deepening of our economic partnership with Malaysia,” the Ambassador said.
