06 April 2017 - The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver visited the city of Prince George, British Columbia (BC) last March 31 and provided consular services to almost 200 Filipinos in need of passport, civil registry and notarial services. The team also registered 141 new registrants for the overseas voting.

A guided tour of the sawmill and other facilities of Canfor, one of the largest wood and lumber producers of BC and a major company in Prince George was also in order.

Prince George is a thriving community in the BC interior, which is home to over a thousand Filipino immigrants. Nicknamed as BC’s “Capital in the North,” Prince George was built principally on the region’s massive wood and lumber industry. END
