400 Filipinos in Cambodia

07 April 2017, PHNOM PENH - Approximately 400 members of the Filipino community in Cambodia availed of frontline government services at the 7th edition of the Multi-Agency Service Mission (MASM) organized by the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh from April 01 to 02.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Singapore, processed applications for Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), OWWA membership sign-ups and renewal, as well as registration in the Balik-Manggagawa Online system.
Officials from the Social Security System, PhilHealth, and the Development Bank of the Philippines provided services to existing and new members, including new service packages that benefit OFWs. Representatives from the Bureau of Immigration and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) were also on hand and shared important information on departure formalities for Filipinos travelling overseas and on programs for overseas Filipinos such as franchising and setting up small and medium enterprises.

Offices from DBP and CFO process applications for opening savings accounts and remittance services, and share information on business and investment opportunities in the Philippines for OFWs in Cambodia.
Embassy personnel provide consular services to OFWs, as well as process applications for Embassy registration for new Filipino workers and residents in Cambodia.
