PHL Embassy in Santiago Donates Books on PH Arts and Culture to Biblioteca San Jose De Maipo

12 April 2017 SANTIAGO — To promote cultural diplomacy and to enhance awareness among the Chileans on the culture and history of the Philippines, the Philippine Embassy in Santiago donated books on Philippine Arts and Culture to the Biblioteca de San Jose de Maipo on April 06.

Charge d’affaires, a.i. Marcos A.S. Punsalang formally turned over the books to the representative of the Office of Congressman Osvaldo Andrade, Cordillera District of the Metropolitan Region, Chile.

Most of the donated books were sent by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and Arts. The books will be added to the collection on foreign literature at the soon to be inaugurated San Jose de Maipo library. END
