DOTR Secretary Tugade Visits Prague to Meet Czech Officials and Start Bilateral Transport Cooperation
03 May 2017 PRAGUE — Philippines’ Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade and his delegation visited Prague, Czech Republic for policy and substantive talks with the Czech Minister of Transport Dan Tok as well as with Deputy Minister Vaclav Kolaja of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vice Minister Vladimir Bartl of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on March 31. Among other meetings to discuss new forms of transportation cooperation in the spirit of mutual reciprocity, respect of sovereignty, and mutual benefit as espoused by Secretary Tugade.
The members of the Philippine delegation included Undersecretary Cesar Chavez, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President Vivencio Dizon and DOTr Assistant Secretaries Leah Quiambao and Cherie Mercado.
The DOTr is interested in Czech Republic’s public transportation vehicles including trams, trains, subways as well as cars, trucks or midsize and small airplanes.
