ASEAN Consuls General in Hong Kong Meet on ASEAN 50 Activities

03 MAY 2017 HONG KONG — Consul General Bernardita L. Catalla hosted the monthly ASEAN Dinner at the Philippine Consulate General as part of the Consulate’s commemorative activities for the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.
The dinner meeting discussed the proposed activities of the ASEAN Group in Hong Kong, namely, the ASEAN-Hong Kong Business Conference and the ASEAN Teambuilding Activity/Family Day. The ASEAN-Hong Kong Business Conference will be co-organized by the Philippine Consulate General, HK Expat Networking and Nanyang Entrepreneur Foundation with the full support of the rest of the consulates general of ASEAN countries in Hong Kong.
Consul General Catalla briefed her ASEAN colleagues on PH chairmanship of ASEAN, and the 30th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings held in Manila from April 26 to 29.
The ASEAN Consuls General sang the “ASEAN Way”, the Association’s anthem, and PH’s chairmanship of ASEAN theme song “ASEAN Spirit” was played.
The dinner meeting also served as appreciation and farewell reception in honor of outgoing Myanmar Consul General Zaw Zaw Soe.
