PHL Embassy Promotes Phl Culture, Tourism in Huge 'Barrio Fiesta' in Rome

10 May 2017 ROME — The Philippine Embassy in Rome joined the Filipino communities in promoting Philippine culture and tourism at the Barrio Fiesta celebration at the Pontificio Collegio Filipino in Rome in April 30.

Ambassador Domingo Nolasco encouraged Filipinos to promote Philippine culture and values in Italy and thanked the organizers of the Sentro Pilipino Chaplaincy led by Fr. Ricky Gente, CS for highlighting the Filipino Fiesta as an important aspect of Philippine culture that brings different communities together.

The Philippine Embassy also set a booth to promote Philippine tourism and doing business in the Philippines. Italians and Filipinos alike were encouraged to explore the Philippines. Overseas Filipinos were also given information kits on how to set-up businesses and invest in the Philippines.

The Barrio Fiesta, themed “Pananampalataya at Kultura’ (Faith and Culture), was aimed to promote and foster the Filipino culture among Filipino and Italian communities in Rome.
