PHL Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Joins Brunei’s 6th National Family Day

11 May 2017 BRUNEI — The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam joins the Family Harmony Recreation and Cycling event graced by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, as part of Brunei’s 6th National Family Day celebration, on Sunday, May 07, at Bandar Seri Begawan.
A huge crowd of cyclists, together with His Majesty, the Sultan, His Royal Highness The Crown Prince, and other members of the Royal Family, gathered at the Taman Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Square. His Majesty, the Sultan led the cyclists with embassy personnel including Colonel Ernest Mark P. Rosal, Defense and Armed Forces Attaché in the 12km route which began at 7:30 a.m. Other officers and staff of the Embassy also participated in several activities offered around the capital simultaneous with the event.
This year’s celebration, themed “Keluargaku Penyayang, Negara Gemilang” (A Loving Family, a Bright Nation,) was aimed at promoting national unity by strengthening the family unit through healthy lifestyles.
