12 May 2017 BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Hon. Datu Haji Abul Khayr Dangcal Alonto, the Philippines’ Signing Minister for BIMP-EAGA and Secretary/Chair of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), attended the launching ceremony of the 1st Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Innovation Expo & Conference and the China–ASEAN Exposition (CAEXPO) Brunei Exhibition 2017 on May 06 at the BRIDEX Hall in Jerudong, upon the invitation of Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar (Pehin Yasmin), Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) of Brunei Darussalam.
The 1st MSME Innovation Expo & Conference, with its theme, “Made in Brunei Market Fair,” provided a platform for local Bruneian companies to showcase their products and services. The Brunei CAEXPO Exhibition 2017, participated by around 100 Chinese companies, on the other hand, provided a platform for business linkages and networks between Bruneian and Chinese entrepreneurs for further cooperation during the 14th CAEXPO to be held in Nanning, China in September 2017, where Brunei Darussalam is the country of honor.
