01 June 2017 BANGKOK — Philippine Ambassador Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon spoke on the Philippine Chairmanship of ASEAN before Committee Members on May 24 at the Thai Parliament Building on the invitation of Senator Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand.

Ambassador Bernardo-Aragon highlighted the main theme and priorities of the Philippines as ASEAN Chair in 2017. She shared key achievements by the Philippines, since taking on the Chairmanship, in realizing ASEAN objectives in the Political-Security, Economic and Socio-Cultural Community Pillars. She also shared information on the activities being organized by the Philippines in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.
