PHL Consulate General in Dubai Holds Town Hall with Secretary Jesus Dureza

06 June 2017 DUBAI - The Philippine Consulate General and the Filipino Community leaders warmly welcomed Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza and Executive Assistant Mr. Jose Fornier during the town hall meeting held at the Consulate on June 01.
Sec. Dureza provided an overview of the various peace processes in the country; President's programs that would benefit overseas Filipinos such as the establishment of an overseas Filipino bank and the abolition of the requirement for overseas employment certificates; and the administration's priority for the welfare of overseas Filipinos, our modern day heroes.
In line with OPAPP’s vision of an enlightened citizenry and a public that is well informed of the current peace objectives and processes of our government, Sec. Dureza named 7 leaders from among the Filipino Community in Dubai as Peace Ambassadors.
Some 180 leaders and members of the Filipino Community joined the town hall meeting, the 3rd in a week which earlier saw TESDA Secretary Guiling Mamondiong and DFA Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano. END
