Ambassador Lhuillier Receives Andreas Muñoz, Lead Actor in the Philippine Film Ignacio De Loyola
14 June 2017 MADRID — Spanish actor Andreas Muñoz paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Philippe Lhuillier at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, in connection with the release of “Ignacio de Loyola” in Spanish cinemas on June 16. “Ignacio de Loyola” was made jointly by Filipino filmmakers and Spanish actors.
“Ignacio de Loyola” was produced by Jesuit Communications, the media arm of the Society of Jesus in the Philippines. The production team behind it is composed of award-winning names in the Philippine film, music and advertising industries, among them, Mr. Paolo Dy as director, Ms. Pauline Mangilog-Saltarin and Ms. Ernestine Tamana as producers, Ms. Lee Briones Meily as lighting director, and Mr. Ryan Cayabyab for the musical scoring. It premiered in Madrid in March as part of the Madrimaná Film Festival.
The film is a manifestation of the strong people-to-people and cultural ties between the Philippines and Spain. The two countries are celebrating the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year.
