Milan Trams Get “More Fun in the Philippines”

The trams in Milan are decorated with “It’s More in the Philippines” ads.

15 June 2017 MILAN — The Department of Tourism (DOT) “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” ad campaign is now featured on the side of trams that traverse the city of Milan.

The Philippine Consulate General in Milan and the DOT launched the two-month ad campaign on June 07 with a travel trade and media briefing on board one of the trams wrapped in “More Fun in the Philippines” brand. The attendees not only learned about the Philippines but were treated to a feast of Filipino food and the Filipino brand of hospitality with no less than Yum Taste of the Philippines, a Filipino fine dining restaurant in Milan cited as one of the Best Ethnic Restaurants in the Lombardy Region by Gambero Rosso, the leading restaurant and food guide authority in Milan.

“I believe that this tram project will go a long way in promoting the Philippine brand to our Italian friends,” Consul General Marichu Mauro said.

The Philippines has every reason to celebrate and to intensify our market presence in Italy. Based on the latest arrival report, Italy posted the highest growth rate of 28 % in terms of travel to the Philippines among all our major markets in Europe.
