PHL Embassy, Philippine Ladies Circle, Timeless Elegance Event Management Hold Exhibit in Abu Dhabi
Constancio R. Vingno, Jr., Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, and Madame Yoko Ramos-Vingno, Chair of the Philippine Ladies Circle - Abu Dhabi, together with H.E. Komate Kamalanavin, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, and Ms. Rofita Djamawar, Indonesian Minister Counsellor, lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the “Impressions of Filipino Artists in Abu Dhabi” exhibit on June 11 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
23 June 2017 ABU DHABI — The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Philippine Ladies Circle - Abu Dhabi, and Timeless Elegance Event Management held an exhibit entitled “Impressions of Filipino Artists in Abu Dhabi” on June 11 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Abu Dhabi, in celebration of the 119th Anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence.
The exhibit featured works by Brian Carl Campos Photography of Timeless Elegance Event Management, together with Abu Dhabi-based fashion designers Aldwin Jlo Ornopia, Jose Allen Villena and Chai Raagas; Angono Artist Rico Tompong; Abu Dhabi-based artists Esmi Pangilinan, Dee Dipon, Gay Marie Jumuad, and Aler Auro.
In his remarks, Philippines Ambassador to the UAE Constancio Vingno said that the exhibit was organized to promote Philippine art, highlight Filipino craftsmanship and creativity, and further expose the featured artists to the international community. He thanked the artists and fashion designers for sharing their talents to a bigger audience through the exhibit.
“I hope this exhibit is reminiscent of our love for art and country, and how proud we are to be Filipinos. Together, we embrace oneness in these art creations,” Ambassador Vingno said.
