“Freedom from Debt” Literacy Training Launches for Filipinos in Dubai

27 June 2017 DUBAI, UAE — In celebration of the Independence month, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai held a special town hall meeting with the Filipino community leaders and members through a short training entitled “Freedom from Debt” which was held on June 20.
The Financial Literacy Task Force of the Consulate invited a bank representative to talk about “Managing and Eliminating Debts Training” from a Banker’s perspective. The goal of this training is to provide an overview to the Overseas Filipinos on banking and credit in the UAE setting. To enable participant to distinguish between good and bad debts; identify the ways of consolidating debts; educate on the banking aspect of debts; provide tips on reducing and finally eliminating bad debts, were the highlights of the discussion.
