27 June 2017 HONOLULU, HAWAII — Filipino artists Fidel Sarmiento, Pancho Piano, Rafael Cusi, and Ligaya “Jing” Banawan, visited Honolulu and took part in an art exhibit entitled “Earth- Philippines Hawaii Exhibit” held from June 09 to 10 in downtown Honolulu. The artists’ works were also exhibited during the 119th Independence Day Gala at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Tapa Ballroom Foyer, on June 10, together with the artworks of Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero and Ms. Heart Escudero.

The four plan to visit Hawaii again upon the invitation of Hawaii State officials and expressed willingness to volunteer their talent to support future activities of the Philippine Consulate in Honolulu.
