Filipino Language and Culture Program in Israel Concludes First Semester
Filipino kids enrolled in the Filipino Language and Culture Program
27 June 2017 TEL-AVIV — The first semester of the Filipino Language and Culture Program of the Philippine Embassy at Nialik Rogozin International Campus ends this week, with the first batch of about 80 Filipino children enrolled in the program.
The Embassy expressed its gratitude to the Filipino community members who volunteered to teach the kids during their free time.
“I wish to express the Embassy’s profound appreciation to our dedicated volunteer teachers who take time out of their busy work schedule to teach the children of migrant workers the basics of our national language and the importance of our culture,” said Philippine Ambassador to Israel Neal Imperial.
The program will resume once the next school year starts in September.
The Embassy is currently inviting other members of the Filipino community, especially those with teaching background, to volunteer as teachers for the program for at least 2 hours a week. Interested parties may coordinate with the Embassy.
