UN Migration Official Urges PH to Continue Engaging the Global Forum On Migration and Development

03 July 2017 BERLIN, GERMANY – UN Secretary General Special Representative (SRSG) on International Migration, Ms Louise Arbour encouraged the Philippines to continue its active engagement with the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) and the ongoing process for the formulation of the global compact on safe, orderly, and regular migration during a recent meeting at the sidelines of the 10th GFMD Summit Meeting in Berlin, Germany.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers led the Philippine delegation to GFMD Summit. The Philippine delegation is composed of senior officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Labor and Employment, and the National Economic Development Authority.
