Milan City Officials Welcome National Defense College Delegation

04 July 2017 MILAN — Chief Officer of Milan City International Affairs Department Silvia La Ferla (7th from right), Ms. Giulia Torresi, Consul General Marichu Mauro, and Consulate Officials welcome officials from the National Defense College (NDCP), and 23 students taking up Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) at the Historic Palazzo Marino on June 21. Chief Officer La Ferla and Ms. Torresi briefed the NDCP delegation on the various projects of Mayor Giuseppe Sala to turn Milan into a “smart city” under his urban rejuvenation plan, which consists of improving Milan’s natural and artificial waterways, preserving its parks and green areas, rehabilitating its old railways, and ensuring good governance. The plan’s ultimate goal is to improve the general quality of life for  Milan’s multi ethnic inhabitants. MNSA scholars were able to learn about the local government’s policies and best practices to preserve Milan’s cultural heritage and arts in the face of modernization. END
