Foreign Recruitment Agencies (FRAs) in Oman for 2017
11 July 2017 MUSCAT — The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) – Muscat of the Philippine Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman held the first meeting of Foreign Recruitment Agencies (FRAs) in Oman for 2017.
The meeting held on May 24 at the Palayok Filipino restaurant in Muscat was presided by Labor Attaché Ponciano M. Ligutom. Among the topics discussed were the review of the 2016 Revised POEA Rules and Regulations on the Deployment of OFWs, the standards on the issuance of certificate of pre-qualification, the process flow on recruitment agreement accreditation and contract verification, the handling of welfare cases, and other POLO programs and services. Around forty FRA owners and/or managers attended the event.
The Embassy, through POLO, seeks to advance an active partnership with stakeholders in manpower recruitment by dialogue to improve cooperation for the benefit of the growing number of OFWs in Oman.
