Filipino Community in Egypt Showcases the Beauty of the Philippines at the Pharaonic Village in Cairo

31 July 2017, CAIRO — The Pharaonic Village in Cairo hosted an exhibition highlighting and presenting the cultural uniqueness of different countries to the Egyptian public. The event was participated by the Philippines along with Georgia, Peru, Thailand and Sri Lanka. 

Members of the Filipino community in Egypt led the cultural representation of the Philippines by showcasing the country’s traditional costumes, products, tourism destinations and providing guests a taste of the Filipino delicacy “biko”.

The Pharaonic Village was founded by Dr. Hassan Ragab and inaugurated in May 1984. It houses floating amphitheaters, museums and an art center.
