ASEAN Group in Kuwait Holds Bowling Tourney

02 August 2017, KUWAIT— The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in Kuwait (ACK) held the 5th ACK Bowling Tournament at the Hunting and Equestrian Club in Subhan, Kuwait on Friday, July 28, as part of the celebration of the 50th foundation anniversary of ASEAN this year.Three teams formed from among the 9 ASEAN member countries which have embassies in Kuwait (except Singapore) as well as guest embassies Japan and Korea, competed for token awards.

The following results were announced and the trophies and medals were awarded:

Overall Champion – Team Red (composed of Indonesia, Malaysia, Viet Nam)

1st Runner-up – Team Blue (composed of Cambodia, Korea, Myanmar, Thailand)

2nd Runner-up – Team White (composed of Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Lao PDR, and the Philippines).

    Individual Awards:

  Top Scorer (Men) – Ambassador Tan Bunpa (Cambodia)

  Top Scorer (Women) – Erlisa (Indonesia)

  Best Striker (Men) – Dexter Nebres (Philippines)

  Best Striker (Women) – Adela Baclig (Philippines)

  Most Promising Player (Men) – Perapol Berananda (Thailand)

  Most Promising Player (Women) – Second Secretary and CDA, a.i. Faira

                                                        Haji Jamudin (Brunei Darussalam)

Ambassador Renato Villa, 2017 Chair of ACK, said that everyone was a winner because the event reaffirmed the friendship and camaraderie of diplomats from ASEAN, and its dialogue partners.
