Vienna PHL Ambassador pitches for University placements for Filipino students

The Rector and Vice-rector of the University of Graz welcomes PHL Ambassador to Vienna Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson and her colleagues from Thailand.

03 August 2017 VIENNA — PHL Ambassador to Vienna Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson made vigorous representations with officials of four Austrian member universities of the ASEAN European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) to increase the number of Filipino students in their institutions.  In her meetings with Chancellors, Rectors and other officials of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Medical University of Graz, Graz University of Technology and University of Graz, Ambassador Collinson noted the paucity of Filipino students and offered enhanced cooperation by the Embassy to promote placements of deserving Filipino students.  Tuition in public and state universities is free. 

Ambassador Collinson attended the ASEA-UNINET Plenary Meeting on July 17 to 21, together with other ASEAN ambassadors.

ASEA-UNINET is a network of European and South East Asian universities with the aim of promoting continuous internationalization of education and research.
