PHL Consulate General in Milan Reaches Out to All Communities, Big or Small
07 August 2017, MILAN — A total of 63 consular services were rendered during the consular outreach conducted by the Philippine Consulate General in Milan to the Filipino community in Verona last July 30. The number is relatively small compared to consular outreach services in other cities in Northern Italy. However, the Consulate General still makes an effort to conduct consular outreach services not only to render much needed public service but also to remain in touch with all the communities within the Post’s jurisdiction.
The Consular team was led by Consul General Marichu Mauro and included the presence of all the attached agencies namely POLO/OWWA, SSS and Pag-Ibig.
“It is the duty of the Consulate to bring its services closer to the community, no matter how big or small they are in any given place”, Consul General Mauro said as she reiterated that the importance in touching base with all Filipinos under her jurisdiction in order to know their concerns first-hand.
The consular outreach to Verona was held back-to-back with mobile services in Vicenza. Both cities are in the Veneto Region of Italy.
