30 August 2017 — Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta met with correspondents and editors of Interfax led by Ms. Olga Golovanova, Editor-in-Chief of the Foreign Policy Desk, during his visit to the media organization’s headquarters in Moscow on August 18.
During the visit, Ambassador Sorreta was interviewed by Interfax correspondent Ms. Veronika Vishnyakova. The Philippines’ top envoy to Russia discussed updates on the situation in the country, as well as current developments in PH-RF bilateral relations.
Interfax is one of the leading fully-independent media organizations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Reportedly, Interfax became the most frequently cited Russian news agency in foreign and domestic media for the first half of 2017.
