Winter Escapade 5 Officially Launches in Vancouver

31 August 2017 VANCOUVER – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver successfully launched Winter Escapade 5 (WE5) on August 22 at the Consulate General reception area.

Highlighting the success of the past four WE tours, Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer announced the upcoming main destinations of WE5, namely, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental; Davao City, Davao del Sur; and Manila, scheduled to be visited from February 3 to11, 2018.

The full itinerary of WE5 was presented to the audience, representing members of Filipino community, Fil-Canadian media, members of Filipino community organizations, previous WE tour attendees, and prospective participants.  Daily highlights and inclusions of the nine-day tour package were discussed. 

Tourism Director Pura Molintas also presented the destinations in detail as well as other Philippine-related tourism updates. Philippine Airlines and i-Remit representatives were also on hand to provide information on the promo fares and payment arrangements.

Nine participants registered on the spot for WE5. More participants from Vancouver and other cities across Canada are expected to register in the following weeks.
