PHL Ambassador Discussed Filipino Migration with Canadian Parliamentarian

27 September 2017 OTTAWA - Philippine Ambassador to Ottawa Petronila P. Garcia met with Mr. Marco Mendicino, Liberal Party member of parliament for Toronto Eglinton-Lawrence, to exchange views on the situation of the Filipino diaspora in Canada. The two leaders noted the favorable condition of an overwhelming majority of Filipinos and Filipino-Canadians in Canada. They then discuss the state of Philippine-Canada relations and agreed to continue the conversation to further improve this relationship. MP Mendicino recently attended the Mabuhay Fiesta celebration in Toronto and is an active supporter of community events organized by Filipino organizations in the Greater Toronto Area. END
