PHL Embassy Conducts Consular Outreach in Thessaloniki

27 September 2017 ATHENS - The Philippine Embassy in Athens conducted a consular outreach, overseas voting (OV) registration, POLO, OWWA and Pag-IBIG services, for the Filipino Community in Thessaloniki on September 24, Sunday, at the Hotel Olympia Thessaloniki.
The consular outreach team processed:
- Thirty-six (36) passport renewal applications;
- Ten (10) applications for overseas voting registration/certification;
- Twelve (12) applications for reactivation of overseas voting records;
- Eleven (11) applications for change of address of overseas voters;
- Eighty-eight (88) renewal of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) membership;
- Ninety (90) applications for updating of Pag-IBIG contributions;
- Two (2) Overseas Employment Certificates (OEC) issuance;
- Three (3) verifications of Employment Contracts;
- Eleven (11) issuance of Employment Contracts for Verification; and,
- Eleven (11) on-line registration for OEC.
After the conclusion of consular services, members of the Filipino Community (FilCom) were given a briefing on ASEAN’s 50th Anniversary, and on the POLO, OWWA and Pag-IBIG services available to them.
The consular outreach was successfully conducted with the support and cooperation of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Thessaloniki, Greece; the Filipino Community in Thessaloniki led by the Filipino Organization in Northern Greece (FONG); the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Athens, Greece; and the Pag-IBIG Representative Office in Athens, Greece.
