PHL Consulate General in Honolulu Brings Consular Services Closer to Filipinos on Kauai

27 September 2017 HONOLULU - The Philippine Consulate General visited Lihue, Kauai from September 23 to 24 to provide consular services to Filipinos and Filipino Americans on the island, dubbed as Hawaii’s “The Garden Island.” The two-day outreach activity was held at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall in Lihue.
The 8-member consular team was able to provide a total of 172 consular services which include applications for renewal of passports, notarials, authentication of documents, civil registration and dual citizenship during the two-day outreach program. The Philippine Consulate General was also able to register 91 new Philippine overseas voters.
The activity was held in coordination with Mr. Mario Trinidad, the newly-elected President of the Kauai Filipino Community Council, with the support of the Office of Kauai Governor Bernard P. Carvalho and Mr. Jimmy Iloreta, President of the United Filipino Council of Hawaii, the statewide umbrella organization of all Filipino American organizations in Hawaii. END
