Dr. Samuel Ramos, Medical Doctor of CHIC International HK Limited, encourages OFWs to promote health-conscious lifestyle during the health literacy talk at the Philippine Consulate General – Hong Kong on 24 September 2017.

 

29 September 2017 HONG KONG More than 70 OFWs attended a forum aimed at raising the overall level of health literacy held on September 24 at the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR. The talk-cum-consultation was organized by Philippine-registered beauty and personal care company CHIC International HK Limited.

Dr. Samuel Ramos, a medical doctor and CHIC International CEO, gave a lecture titled “How to keep your skin young, combat stress and depression, and tips to prevent the Big C (Cancer)”

Dr. Ramos shared practical advice and tips to participants. He said food choice is the number one cause of poor health. He added that over intake of sugar may result in unhealthy skin, rapid emotional changes, and cancer.

Participants availed of free one-on-one medical consultation with Dr. Ramos using a Body Composition Analyzer. Through this, they were able to measure body fat based on height and weight or Body Mass Index (BMI).

Dr. Ramos encouraged OFWs to live and lead a health-conscious lifestyle through the use of natural products.
