03 October 2017 JAKARTA - Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta discussed Philippine institutions and their education offerings at a Press Conference held at the Embassy on September 12.

The Press Conference highlighted Philippine education offerings in both formal and vocational courses, as showcased in this year’s participation in the World Education Expo Indonesia 2017 (WEEI) held from September 15 to 16 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The Philippine delegation was composed of representatives from leading Philippine universities and accredited institutions.

Ambassador Isleta spoke of the competitive edge that an education in the Philippines for foreign students offer. These include value for money, internationally accredited courses, English proficiency advantage, and a multi-cultural learning environment.

The Department of Trade and Industry’s Export Marketing Bureau organized an impressive Philippine education delegation, including those offering courses in aeronautics, aviation, hospitality and culinary, IT, nursing, arts and sciences as well as Business and other vocational courses.

The Philippine education showcase banks on the country’s reputation as an excellent choice for foreign students, considering the Philippine schools’ quality courses, affordable tuition fees and cost of living, and a destination with cultural similarities within the region. END
