PHL Ambassador Attends the Requiem for King Rama IX Concert in Thailand

04 October 2017 BANGKOK - Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon and Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Mary Anne A. Padua, attended the Requiem for King Rama IX Concert held at the Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University on September 30.

The Requiem for King Rama IX was organized by the College of Music of Mahidol University together with five Christian organizations in Thailand, performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. This concert is considered one of the most significant concerts to honor the late HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra performed under the baton of Italian guest conductor Alfonso Scarano joined by guest opera singers including Sassaya Chavalit (Soprano), Martina Belli (Mezzo-soprano), Danilo Formaggia (Tenor) and Stefano Rinaldi Miliani (Bass), along with choirs led by MU Choir and choirs from the five Christian organizations in Thailand.
