06 October 2017 JAKARTA – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta welcomed Senator Cynthia Villar and her delegation to Bali, Indonesia for a visit to The Green School in Bali on September 16.
The Senator, in her capacity as the Chairperson of the Committee for Environment and Natural Resources, as well as of the Committee on Agriculture and Food, toured the school for benchmarking on how to instill a deeper sense of environmental stewardship among Filipinos and on practices pertaining to the proper conservation of natural resources.
Ms. Sophie Daubisse-Reznichek, The Green School’s Community Relations Manager, received the delegation from the Philippines and shared the school’s key values, and practical knowledge about composting, aquaponics, and other eco-friendly practices of the school. The Senator had also many inputs stemming from her work in the Senate.
The tour ended with a lunch with Ms. Kate Druhan, Chair of the Board of Management of The Green School. END
