06 October 2017 SINGAPORE - The Philippine Embassy in Singapore headed by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales hosted the showcase event of the Philippine Art Trek 2017 at the official residence on October 03.

The group show “Panoply” was bannered by established Filipino artist Araceli Dans with Justin Nuyda, Jose Tence Ruiz, Janice Young, Raffy Napay, Ferdie Montemayor, Victor Balanon as well as young Kirby Roxas.

The curatorial work was done by Ms. Roberta Dans-Thomas of Artesan Gallery + Studio, one of the pioneering and consistent partner galleries of the Philippine Embassy in the annual art event.

More than a hundred guests graced the opening program including, among others, former Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Delia Domingo-Albert, Undersecretary Noel Puyat and other officials of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the business community and patrons of the arts in Singapore.

Mrs. Dans-Thomas has already made a name for herself as a curator having practiced in the field for a dozen years. Her most prominent international work is currently with the Venice Biennale featuring artists Raffy Napay and Eliezer John Cabangon.

In addition to the art displays, Mrs. Dans-Thomas set up a video presentation stimulating the guests to analyse the concept of the exhibition.
