PHL Embassy in Lisbon holds Linggo sa Embaixada

10 October 2017 LISBON – The Philippine Embassy in Portugal held its 2nd Linggo sa Embaixada on October 1, to enable the Filipino Community to avail of consular services and attend a seminar on the prevention of hereditary cancers which was followed by a workshop on photography. 

The Linggo sa Embaixada is an activity institutionalized by the Philippine Embassy in cooperation with the Filipino Association in Portugal. It is scheduled on the first Sunday of every month where the Embassy provides full consular services to Filipinos who have difficulty in availing of its consular services on weekday as well as provide a venue for the conduct of seminars and activities aimed at enhancing the livelihood and well-being of the Filipino community in Portugal. 

The 1st Linggo sa Embaixada was on September 3 where an insurance company discussed health insurance options for the Filipino community.

The 3rd Linggo sa Embaixada will be held on November 12 and aside from full consular services, POLO and OWWA Madrid officials will conduct a seminar on the various services and programs it offers to OFWs. END
