PHL Consulate General in Guam Graces Screening of “Dagsin”

10 October 2017 AGANA – Philippine Consul General to Guam Marciano R. de Borja graced the sold-out screening of PH indie film, “Dagsin (Gravity)” on September 30 at the Guam Museum Theater. The film is the Philippine entry to the 2017 Guam International Film Festival (GIFF) which will be held from September 27 to 01 October, and is in the running for “Grand Jury Award for Best Film.” The film’s actor, Benjamin Alves, who was born and raised in Guam, is nominated for “Acting Achievement Award”.
Consul General de Borja congratulated the film’s producers, Atom and Anne Magadia, for the well-created movie. The producers hope to show “Dagsin” commercially in the US and Europe after competing in the festival circuit.
A Q&A with the Magadias and Mr. Alves followed the screening.
