Phl Consulate General Welcomes AFP Chief of Staff And Delegates to Ph-US Mutual Defense Board-Security Engagement Board Meeting in Hawaii

10 October 2017 HONOLULU - The Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Eduardo Año, members of the Philippine delegation to the Mutual Defense Board – Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) Meeting and spouses were feted with a welcome dinner and Hawaiian music at the official residence of the Philippine Consul General in Hawaii on September 29.

In her welcome remarks, Consul General Jamoralin congratulated the Philippine and US delegations for a succesful and productive meeting in Camp Smith held on September 27 to 28 which is a testimony to strong and robust US and Philippine military-to-military  relations and  deep, historical friendship between the two countries. 

Also invited as special guests at the dinner were the US Pacific Command (USPACOM)  Commander and US MDB-SEB Co-Chair Admiral Harry Harris Jr. and his wife, Ms. Bruni Bradley. Admiral Harris offered a toast for General and Mrs. Año and the Philippine delegation. Admiral Harris Jr. and General Ano co-chaired the 2-day MDB-SEB meeting.

Aside from General  Eduardo M. Año and Mrs. Jean Año, other Philippine delegation members who were at  the dinner were LtGen Glorioso V. Miranda, Commanding General Philippine Army and Mrs. Caroline Miranda; LtGen Edgar Fallorina, Commanding General Philippine Air Force and Mrs. Erica Fallorina; MGen Restituto Padilla, AFP, J5 and  MDB-SEB  Executive Committee Chair  and Mrs. Jessica Padilla; Director Edwin Roque, Director for Plans, Philippine National Police;  Executive Director Marshall Louis Alferez, Office of American Affairs, Department of Foreign Affairs; Undersecretary Pedro Cesar Ramboanga Jr. Executive Director, Presidential Commission on the Visiting Forces; Assistant Secretary Jesus Fajardo, Deputy Director General, PDEA, MGen Alvin Parreno, Commandant Philippine Marines; MGen Isidro Purisima, AFP, J3; Bgen Arnulfo Rafanan, AFP J4; Roberto deVera Santos, National Coast Watch Secretariat and Mr. Edward Chan, Principal Assistant, Office of American Affairs, DFA. Col. Ernest Lee, US Army and Chief, JUSMAG-Philippines also attended the dinner. Philippine Consulate officers and staff  led by Deputy Consul General  and Mrs.  Roberto Bernardo, Consul Joyleen Santos and Mr. Lester Santos; Vice-Consul Andrea Ria Caymo and AFP Liaison Officer to USPACOM, Capt.
