Pinoy SMEs Close Nordic Tour Exploring Opportunities in the Danish Food Market

Philippine exporters at the COOP Denmark Headquarters

11 October 2017 COPENHAGEN – After their stint in Sweden and Norway, Filipino SMEs completed exploring market opportunities in the Nordic region by holding meetings with potential buyers and distributors in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 05 to 06.

The SMEs met with Mr. Jan Lundgren, CEO of Coop Trading A/S, a major supermarket conglomerate in Denmark. All the SMEs presented their products to Coop Trading’s procurement executives who were eager to see new products from the Philippines. They learned about Denmark’s food market profile and general outlook at Danish Industries. They also conducted Merchandise Surveys at two of COOP’s major supermarket chains, Kvicky and IRMA.

The Filipino SMEs are participants in the Outbound Business Matching Mission (OBMM) of the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB). The Nordic tour was completed with the assistance and support of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Stockholm and the Philippine Embassy to the Nordic region based in Oslo. END
