PH Embassy team meeting with officials of the Maldives Labour Relations Authority

18 October 2017 DHAKA – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka’s Mobile Consular Mission to Maldives, headed by Third Secretary and Vice Consul LV I. de Guzman, visited the Maldives Labour Relations Authority (LRA) and met with Director Fathimath Shifna Abdulla, Legal Officer Mariyam Saahath and Assistant Inspection Officer Mohamed Ahzam last September 20, to discuss and clarify matters involving the status and common concerns of Filipino workers in the Maldives and to seek legal guidance from the LRA. 

The discussion also included exploratory talks on future collaborative projects on awareness and information campaigns regarding the Maldives Labor rules and regulations and other labor-related laws for the benefit of the Filipinos based in the Maldives. END
