NDRRMC Participates in Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange 2017 in Dhaka

20 October 2017 DHAKA – The representatives of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) were on a five-day visit to Dhaka on October 08-12 to participate in the 8th annual Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange (DREE) engagement between Bangladesh and United States of America.
Participants from China, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United States of America and Philippines as well as from International Non-Government Organizations (INGOs) and Government/Non-government Organizations (GOs/NGOs) of Bangladesh attended the said exercise. The exercise aims to enhance the ability of participants in managing earthquakes which includes search and rescue, effective coordination, communication, logistics management medical shelter and relief operations.
