PHL Ambassador Holds Special Talk on PHL Foreign Policy at RBAF Defense Academy

20 October 2017 BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – PHL Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Meynardo LB. Montealegre delivered a special talk on PHL foreign policy at the Leadership and Management Centre, Defense Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (LMC-DA-RBAF) on October 17, as part of the Junior Officer Staff Course being conducted by the LMC-DA-RBAF from September 05 to December 08.
The Junior Officer Staff Course is a key course for RBAF officers as a pre-requisite for promotion to the rank of Major. Said course is being attended by 30 officers including 1 officer from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and 7 military officers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The student-officer from the PHL is Cpt. Ceasar Ryan G. Gandeza PN.
Ambassador Montealegre underscored the guiding principles on framing PHL foreign policy, per the 1987 PHL Constitution; the three pillars of PHL foreign policy, as mandated by RA 7157 or the Philippine Foreign Service Act of 1991; and the foreign policy realities guiding the PHL in its interaction with states and non-state actors.
